Why are CAN-TEENS important?
No One Should Suffer from HUNGER!
It's unfortunate but true that hunger in America has been increasing with more than 38 million Americans living at or below poverty level. Because of this, somewhere in your community there are children, seniors, disabled, homeless or low income families who need groceries to make it through the month without going hungry.
That's why food banks and food pantries exist, to help those in need. BUT they don't always have enough, they need donations, to keep food in supply. CAN-TEENS are teens dedicated to supporting local food banks through food drives and fundraising at their school and CAN-TEENS members volunteer service hours to assist the food banks.
Imagine the impact on HUNGER in AMERICA if just half of all
High Schools had CAN-TEENS or ADOPT-A-FOOD BANK programs supporting food banks.
Teens CAN and will make the difference to help end hunger.
